Turn the car off and let it sit for at least 1 minute.
Locate the EPS module connectors (arrow pointing to Item # 3) under the dash.
Unplug the torque sensor wire from the EPS module by firmly pressing the detent and pulling it out.
Trim the connector guides off. The best tool to do this is a pair of flush cutters. You could use a file to shave it off smoothly. Any excess may make it difficult to remove the connector in the future.
The supplied wiring harness may also need to be trimmed in the same way
Plug the supplied wiring harness into the EPS and plug the torque sensor wire into the other wiring harness.
The TI connectors are labeled “TORQUE_IN” and “TORQUE_OUT” on the PCB. Plug the wiring harness from the torque sensor into the TORQUE_IN connector on the TI and the other wire from the EPS to the TORQUE_OUT connector on the TI.
Start the vehicle to confirm there are no issues.
Unplug your existing Comma dev kit from the Comma Power.
Plug one end of the supplied RJ45 cable into the Comma Power and the other end into either port on the TI. If you start your car at this point you will see the lights on the TI begin to flash. On startup both blue and green lights will illuminate momentarily, then 1 green flash followed by a pause followed by 2 flashes. This represents code 1-2 which means there are no valid can messages.
Plug the RJ45 connector from your comma dev kit into the other port on the TI.
Now it is time to install the openpilot software on your comma device.

Once your device is ready, start your car.
If you see the blue light on and the green light begin to flash rapidly, it means it has passed all the tests and is in run mode and you can now go for a drive. If it begins to flash an error code with no blue light, count the flashes or take a clear video of the lights and report the error on the discord https://discord.gg/pKBfWSExr3 or send an email to ryleymcc@shaw.ca.
